First Time for Tickets!

If you’ve been to one of our concerts before, you know that we have always just asked for a “suggested donation” at the door. This season we’re changing to a ticketing system and you may wonder why. There are many reasons but here are the four main ones:

  1. We are working to take our group to a higher level of professional performance, organization, and accountability. Formalizing our concerts with a set ticket price reflects the new professional tone we are setting. As our board president Paul Caldron says "New name, expansion, higher caliber in every dimension; our director and singers are all-in on a stirring choral experience for our audience.”

  2. Now that the Newport Performing Arts Center is our rehearsal and performance home, we feel it’s important to bring our ticketing practices into line with the other groups that call the PAC home. They all use tickets so we feel we should too.

  3. Ticketing allows us to better track our audiences which in turn allows us to plan better for future performances.

  4. Finally, our new website and our partnership with the PAC give us access to better technology. We can sell tickets for the Lincoln City and Yachats performances through our website and we can use the Newport PAC’s box office to handle sales for the Newport show. You can come to our website and buy advance tickets to any of our shows making it more convenient for you. Sure you can still pay at the door with cash (or credit or check) but we think a lot of people will opt for the ease of online ticket sales.

Since it’s the first time we’ve ever done tickets we know there may be a few glitches in the process. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for smooth sailing and hope that you’ll be patient with us if we have to work out any little issues. Thanks in advance and we’re looking forward to seeing you at the December shows!

I liken the velvety rich sound these singers produce to a mixture of dark chocolate and gold. I can’t wait for our audiences to experience that!”
